The Government School Admission Circular for 2024 has been released by the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE). It applies to all Bangladeshi government schools, including those in Dhaka. You must visit the gsa.teletalk.com.bd website online in order to apply. From Class 1 to Class 9, all government school admissions are handled through this website.
The online application period opened on October 24, 2023, and the deadline is November 14, 2023, according the Govt School Admission Circular 2024. All institutions will have a lottery in November 2023 to determine admissions.
There won’t be any entrance exams this year, according to the minister of education. As an alternative, a lottery will be used for all classes, not only Class 1.
With the exception of Dhaka, this is applicable to all government schools in districts and upazilas. The government schools in Dhaka will employ the same procedure. All applicants must apply online, and the results will be made public simultaneously.

Application Eligibility
This year, you don’t need any special qualifications to get into government schools. Any student can apply, but they have to be the right age. You can’t apply if you’re too old or too young. Here are the age limits for each class for Govt School Admission 2024:

Govt School Admission Form 2023-2024
For the academic year 2023-2024, the admission process for all government schools located in Dhaka city, divisional towns, districts, and upazilas will be conducted online. Applicants can complete their admission applications through the web and SMS. Students who wish to participate in the Govt School admission process can fill out the application form on the gsa.teletalk.com.bd website. Application fees can be paid through SMS using a pre-paid mobile number. To apply for admission to a government school in 2023-2024, follow these easy steps:
- Visit the website http://gsa.teletalk.com.bd.
- Pick your Division.
- Then, choose your District/ Zilla, Thana/ Upazilla, and School Name.
- Fill in the Application Form with all the needed info. Don’t forget to mention if you have any special preferences.
- Upload a color photo that’s 300×300 pixels in JPG format and no bigger than 100KB.
- Submit your application.
- Download and print your applicant copy in color.
- Pay the fees using your User ID through Teletalk’s prepaid mobile service.
Payment Instruction
After completing the online application, applicants will receive a user ID. Using this obtained user ID, applicants need to pay an application fee of 110 taka from any Teletalk pre-paid mobile number. The application fee should be paid through two SMS messages. The payment can be made until 11:59 p.m. on November 14, 2023. Detailed instructions for payment are mentioned in the government school admission notice. To make the application fee payment, please follow the guidelines below-
- To pay the application fee, follow these easy steps:
- After applying online, you must pay the fee. It’s Tk. 110, and you need to use a Teletalk pre-paid mobile.
- Pay the fee by sending two SMS messages.
- First, send an SMS like this: GSA (space) Your User ID to 16222. For example, if your User ID is ABCDEF, send: GSA ABCDEF to 16222.
- After that, you’ll get a PIN from Teletalk. Use it for the second SMS.
- Send another SMS like this: GSA (space) YES (space) Your PIN to 16222. For example, if your PIN is 123456, send: GSA YES 123456 to 16222.
Once you’ve done this, you can download your Admit Card. But remember, you need to pay the fee within 48 hours of applying online.
Govt School Lottery System
The Government School Lottery Result for 2024 is happening today, on November, 2023. Dr. Dipu Moni, the Education Minister, will start the lottery program at the Mother Language Institute in Dhaka. Mr. Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury Nawfel, the Deputy Education Minister, will also be there. The Education Ministry’s Secretary and the Director General of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education will join too.
In all of Bangladesh, the lotteries for government high schools will take place at the same time. Except for Dhaka city, students will get into government secondary schools in districts and upazilas through the lottery. Also, admission results for government primary schools linked to high schools (Feeder branch) will be decided by a lottery. Students from Class 1 to Class 9 will be admitted through this lottery system.
